Interfaces and Connectivity

The CreaNode Gateway is designed to work with both off-the-shelf and custom peripherals. It supports standard industrial communication protocols and hardware interfaces, allowing easy integration with existing systems or new deployments.

Supported interfaces include Modbus and RS485 for industrial devices, pulse counters for metering applications, and UART and I2C for direct sensor communication. For advanced or specialized use cases, custom daughter boards can be developed to extend functionality.

Example Application

In this example, the CreaNode Gateway is connected to a weather station and a soil sensor. The gateway collects environmental data and transmits it over the cellular network to a remote dashboard.

The system provides access to key measurements such as air temperature, air humidity, soil temperature, soil humidity, atmospheric pressure, rainfall, wind speed and direction, illuminance, UV index, as well as device-related parameters like signal strength, battery level, voltage, and charging current.
